What a Union Bank e-statement PDF looks like
Union Bank statements downloaded from NetBanking carry the account details in the header and a transaction table below:
- Account details — customer name, branch, statement period, dates in dd/MM/yyyy format.
- Two layouts in the wild. One product line prints Tran Date, the other prints Particulars with Withdrawal/Deposit columns — both are common and both convert.

One bank, two statement layouts
Union Bank is one of the few banks where the statement layout varies by product:
- Layout A — 'Tran Date'. Transactions listed under Tran Date with debit/credit and a running balance.
- Layout B — 'Particulars'. Uses Particulars, Withdrawal and Deposit columns with a closing balance.
Because the converter identifies the columns from the actual headers, the same upload flow handles both — no settings to change.
Payment types in the narration
Both layouts carry UPI, NEFT, IMPS, POS and RTGS entries in the description. The prefix at the start of each row (e.g. UPI/…) makes ledger mapping straightforward in Tally.
