What a Bank of India e-statement PDF looks like
Bank of India statements downloaded from NetBanking follow a standard layout. The header carries the account details; the body is a transaction table:
- Opening balance row — the table starts with an OPENING BALANCE line, then lists every transaction.
- Transaction table — Date, Description, Cheque, Withdrawal, Balance, with dates in dd/MM/yyyy.
- No password — the Bank of India statements we tested opened directly with no encryption.
Thirty-page statements, anchored by an opening balance
Two BoI-specific details that matter when you're converting:
- Statements can be very long. The tested file ran to thirty-two pages. The converter processes long files page by page — longer statements just use more of your page quota.
- The opening balance is explicit. BoI prints OPENING BALANCE before the first row. After conversion, the first row's balance should match that figure — a built-in sanity check that nothing was skipped.
- Description column. BoI labels its narration column Description, with UPI, NEFT, RTGS, IMPS and ATM prefixes at the start of each row for easy ledger mapping.
Split very long files if you prefer
If a statement covers a year of heavy activity, you can still convert it in one go — or split the PDF by month and convert each part separately for tidier imports.
